Allen was trampolinist and diver who turned to coaching after he completed his competition career. He coached at Auburn and Parramatta Diving Clubs as well as trampolining at Revesby and South Bankstown YMCA for over 50 years.
He was very generous with his time and knowledge providing opportunities for many athletes enabling them to achieve at club, state, national and international level.
The Diving NSW Board Talk news is back. The long established information newsletter that started in the 1970's with it's last edition in September 2014 is making a modified return here on our website. Hope this new feature will be welcomed by all as we keep you abreast of all that is happening at Diving NSW. In this edition there are some old editions of Board Talk, including the first Board Talk and the original constitution for you to look back at some of our history.
Diving NSW is pleased to be conducting the 2021 NSW Country Diving Championships in Wauchope. The competition will be held on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January 2021 at Wauchope Aquatic Centre.

Welcome to the 2020/2021 Diving Season. The rollover to the new season has now taken place and you are able to renew your Diving NSW membership for the new season now.
Diving NSW and Pride in Sport have been the successful recipients of a NSW Mental Health Sports Fund grant, committing to further develop and enhance the inclusion of LGBTQ+ participation across diving in regional and rural NSW.
The strategic partnership between Diving NSW and Pride in Sport will allow the sport of diving to change practices and work towards a more inclusive, safe and healthy sporting environment for people with diverse sexualities and genders across regional and rural NSW.
One of our Diving NSW members Chris Fonda has started a new YouTube channel! He is a performance dietitian who has worked at the Australian Institute of Sport with some of Australia’s best athletes from junior development to Olympic and Paralympic representatives and medallists.
We’ve recently released a podcast episode with soon-to-be 4x Olympic Diver Melissa Wu (@melissapaigewu) followed by an encore episode with Australia Trampoline Gymnast Leanne Vanrensburg (@leannevanrensburg) which further broke down Mel’s story and the similarities between their respective sports.
It is with sadness that I inform you that Diving NSW Life Member, Stan Pendall passed away on the 16th April, 2020.
Stan had been involved with Diving NSW since it's inception in 1972. He volunteered in many roles including Vice President, Board member, member of various Committees, Treasurer, Registrar, Judge, team manager and volunteer.
Our sincere condolences go out to his family.
