Allen was trampolinist and diver who turned to coaching after he completed his competition career. He coached at Auburn and Parramatta Diving Clubs as well as trampolining at Revesby and South Bankstown YMCA for over 50 years.
He was very generous with his time and knowledge providing opportunities for many athletes enabling them to achieve at club, state, national and international level.
His memory of stories from years gone by have kept many entertained over the years at diving gatherings.
Allen will be remembered for his road trips around NSW for country championships but especially to Lightning Ridge, providing much needed education and support to the enthusiastic locals to get diving started in the amazing pool they built.
Allen was a Life Member of Diving NSW becasue his dedication to our sport over many years of voluntary service.
Allen’s health declined over the last year and he passed away peacefully in hospital on July 26 with his daughter by his side.
Rest in Peace Allen.
