Congratulations to Matthew Mitcham who won the Athlete Career Development award at last nights NSWIS awards held at the Australian Turf Club, Randwick Racecourse. Matthew was recognised for his continued sccuess throughout the year in diving which included a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal and juggling a career with his cabaret show. NSWIS divers Nick Jeffree, Nathan Calman, Ben On, Maddison Pullinger, Isabella Ashdown, Esther Qin, Paige Jackson, Brittany O'Brien, Genevieve de la Motte and Milly Marks and coaches Chava Sobrino, Joel Rodriguez and Vyninka Arlow along with the Diving Australia CEO David Bell and Diving NSW CEO Gillian Brooker and Diving NSW Coach Thomas Rickards were amongst the guests there to support Matthew and enjoy the evening. Chava was also a finalist for Coach of the Year along with Matthew for Athlete of the Year. Well done!
