Diving NSW Board Director appointment - Michael Scott

Diving NSW is excited to announce that Michael Scott has been appointed to the Board of Diving NSW as a Director. Michael brings a wealth of experience and leadership from his distinguished career in high-performance sport, making him a valuable addition to our organisation.
Michael's Career Highlights:
- CEO of High-Performance Sport New Zealand: Led the development of the 2024 and 2032 strategies, resulting in record government investment and New Zealand's best-ever Olympic medal tally at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with 20 medals, including 7 gold.
- CEO of Rowing Australia: Drove significant organisational change, developed high-performance strategies, and increased commercial revenue by 400%. He oversaw the construction of the National Women’s Training Centre.
- British Swimming Team Leader: Oversaw British Swimming’s most successful Olympic team in 100 years at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, delivering their best performance at the 2009 World Championships and 2010 Commonwealth Games.
- Director, Australian Institute of Sport: Under his leadership, the AIS won more individual gold medals at the Athens 2004 Olympics than at the previous five Olympics combined.
- Inaugural Director, NSW Institute of Sport: Instrumental in establishing the NSWIS as the best-performing state institute by the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
