NSWIS Coach, Emma Lynch will be conducting an National Talent Program (NTP) coaches workshop which will take place in 2 parts. This will include an online workshop and a practical in person workshop (dates/times below). 

In 2024 Diving Australia has altered the selection requirements for state talent squads competing at the National Skills Final. This means there is no longer a capped number of 5 athletes per age group (11/ under and 12/13 years) and also divers are now able to compete at Age Nationals and Nationals Skills Final or National Skills Final and Elite Junior Nationals in 2024. 

These workshops will discuss:

• The purpose behind the National Talent Program (NTP)
• How NTP works (general overview)
• The purpose behind the skill selections in both dryland and water (run through of the skills) 
• Discussion around coaching and developing these skills (in line with NTP requirements) 
• The National Skills Final (selection, about the event, how to get involved in 2024)

The two-part workshop will take place as follows:

Part 1 Online- 1-2pm Saturday 17^th Feb

Part 2 Practical In Person- 7-10am Saturday 24^th Feb at the Quaycentre 7-8:30am followed by SOPAC 8:30-10am (alongside NSWIS pathway training)
