THE HUNT FOR AUSTRALIA'S NEXT GOLD MEDALLIST IS ON!

Just a quick note to let you know the NSW Institute of Sport is on the lookout for Australia’s next diving gold medallist with our ‘come and try’ day at Sydney Olympic Park. For the first time in Australia we’re hosting a week long talent identification camp. Last time we hosted a TID we had over 90 kids come and try the sport, but this time we’re focusing on continuing the success and giving kids an opportunity to do diving training for an entire week, not just one day.

Level One Coaching Course

Well done to everyone that participated in the Level Once Coaching Course. The course ran Friday night through to Sunday afternoon with new coaches from as far away as Lightning Ridge that included elite divers and ex-divers all eager to learn.

Congratulations Rhiannan Iffland

Congratulations to Hunter diver Rhiannan Iffland winning Gold at her first ever Red Bull High Diving event. Rhiannan was a wild card entrant for the Red Bull series event in Hells Gate, Texas USA and amazed the crowds with her outstanding performances. Well done Rhiannan we are very proud of you!

NSW Age State of the Year

Congratulations to all NSW divers that participated in the 2016 Australia Age Championships. NSW won the Diving Australian State of the Year at the awards ceremony.

2016 Australian Age Championships - Day 1

Congratulations NSW divers on Day 1 of the 2016 Australian Age Diving Championships in Sydney. NSW won a number of medals today including: Gold Elizabeth Macarounas & Bronze Jocey Abbott 16/18 Platform, Bronze Nycora Fortt 11/u 1m, Silver Henry Ward and Bronze Feli Ciprian 12/13 3m and Bronze Callum Burden & Eliza Carey and of course a number of medals in the Masters Age groups.

2016 Australian Age Championships - State Team

Congratulations and good luck at the 2016 Australian Age Championships in Sydney. This years team will see over 50 divers from all parts of NSW competing in the Championships. Team Captains are Elizabeth Macarounas and Callum Burden. The team is:

One Metre Challenge Albury-Canberra-Wagga Wagga

The “One Metre Challenge” held at the Albury Lavington Swim Centre on Saturday 5th March, included Albury, Canberra and Wagga Wagga dive clubs. This is part of the annual round robin southern NSW event. The 22 competitors had a great time enjoying the cool water on a super hot day.

2016 NSW Country Championships

MATTHEW MITCHAM ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

This morning Olympic Gold Medalist Matthew Mitcham announced his retirement from diving. Matthew's achievements over his career have been amazing! Congratulations Matthew on a wonderful career and good luck for your future!
